Kochlöffel is a German fast-food restaurant chain, founded in 1961 — making it one of Germany's oldest fast-food brands, predating even McDonald's arrival in Germany. With 70+ locations across Germany, Kochlöffel is known for burgers, currywurst, and German fast food staples. The brand is a nostalgic institution for many Germans.

What Was the Problem?

A legacy fast-food brand facing irrelevance with Gen Z, who associate fast food with McDonald's, Burger King, and newer players like Five Guys. Kochlöffel needed to reclaim cultural relevance on TikTok — the platform where food brands live or die with young audiences.
