DFDS is Europe's largest integrated shipping and logistics company, operating passenger ferries between Copenhagen and Oslo since 1866. With over 14,000 employees and routes across the North Sea, Baltic Sea and English Channel, DFDS carries millions of passengers annually on their award-winning cruise ferries — combining Scandinavian design with world-class onboard experiences.

The Challenge

What Was the Problem?

Ferry and cruise travel competes with budget airlines and all-inclusive resorts for attention on social media. DFDS needed to position the Copenhagen–Oslo route as more than transportation — as an experience worth sharing. The challenge: making a 17-hour ferry crossing feel aspirational to a digital-first audience used to instant travel content.
